Cel phone allowed in the US consulate?

Hi have My appointment Tomorrow at the us consulate . Do You know if they have small lockers where You can save your phone during the interview? Back Home the consulate has those lockers. I don't know about Calgary Consulate.
Somebody who recently attended the appointment could tell me?
I don't know the city and really need My phone.

You cannot bring your phone in. The consulates here normally don't have lockers for security reasons. The one in Toronto certainly doesn't. Normally there are businesses nearby that will offer a locker service for a fee.

Can only tell you about Toronto and based on my experience no lockers. Had a friend who had to hide a watch in the bushes nearby having forgotten any fitness tracker would also not be allowed.

Would suggest you leave your electronics at home/woek or in your car out of sight if parking in a safe location. Other option is to have someone accompany you and hold onto the items during your appointment.

Travelling from another city, alone, by bus. I don't know Calgary, bus system.

Yes, they do. When I had my interview at the Calgary consulate at the start of 2023, the security took all the electronics, including any smartwatches, and sent me to the interview. I was able to pick them up at the end of the interview. I don't remember if they were issuing some kind of tokens for the belongings or writing names on the package.
