Can someone please tell me under CEC, should we have total 1 year of work experience with the same employer? Or is it ok with different employers and having 1 year experience??

How much work experience do I need to apply under the Canadian Experience Class?
You must have earned at least one year of full-time skilled work experience (or the equivalent in part-time) in Canada within the three years before we receive your application for permanent residence under the Canadian Experience Class. Your skilled work experience does not have to be continuous but it must total one year of full-time work altogether.

“Full-time” means at least 30 hours of paid work in one week. One year of full-time work is at least 1560 hours.

It can be with more than one employer. Theoretically if u have even worked for 52 different employers spending 1 week with 30 hrs or more with each of these 52 employers and u have experience letter from each of your 52 employers then u r still eligible

Thank you so much.

Also the work experience letter should include name, job title, start and end date, wages, full time or part time, hours worked per week and job responsibilties rite?
Correct me if something is missing please.

I have 2 job letters where responsibilties are not mentioned in the job letter but i have attached the paper seperately from company's source.

Your evidence should include a reference letter from your employer and previous pay stubs, where available.

The reference letter is an official document printed on company letterhead and must include your name, the company's contact information (address, telephone number and e-mail address), the signature of your immediate supervisor or personnel officer at the company and a business card of the person signing the letter. The letter should indicate all positions held while employed at the company and must include the following details: job title, duties/responsibilities, job status (if current job), the dates you worked for the company, the number of work hours per week and your annual salary plus benefits.

It counts whole months so it can be tricky. Say you started work on Dec 15th. In ee you can only select months.

Therefore on November 1st you will be credited with 1 year of work as it's counting it as a whole month. You need to make sure that you don't get the points until you qualify, therefore you may have to move the start date forward a month (Jan in this example) until after Dec 15th, when you can change it back.

It's your responsibility you are being given points correctly.

Do you mean you just wrote it yourself? Your company is supposed to attest to your job duties and responsibilities, is there someone else who can verify what you did?

so i worked in starbucks.. and starbucks doesnt write responsibilities on the job letter, but they have internal resources where we can print responsibilties of a food service supervisor. so i printed that and attached with my job letter. On responsibilties page it shows that it is only internal use. So i think it should be fine

Under CEC.. it can be a different employer as long as you have a total of one year full time skilled experience.

Hey Varinder, how did you get experience letter from Starbucks? Because I also work at Starbucks and I spoke to my store manager and he doesn’t have any idea about it. Whom should I contact? Because I also emailed my district manager and she is not sure about it either.
