Hello all,

I am looking for expert advise regarding my situation.

Presently I am active in the Express Entry pool with a CRS score of 499. I am showing a total of 2 years and 20 days (May 2014 - May 2016) of Canadian work experience. During this time, I went to my home country for vacation on two occasions for 38 days (December 2014 - January 2015) and 28 days (March 2016 - April 2016) total time = 66 days. All my vacations were paid in full as if I was working full time with supporting pay slips. My concern is if CIC Officer will consider this as work experience or not? I mean if the officer deducts this time then I will fall under 2 years and hence my application will be rejected. Please suggest what I should do in this case. If I reduce it to 1 year then I will be at 474. Super stressed as the draw is less than 48 hours away.

Thanks!

If your paystub can proof it, there is nothing wrong with it.

How much work experience do I need to apply under the Canadian Experience Class?
You must have earned at least one year of full-time skilled work experience (or the equivalent in part-time) in Canada within the three years before we receive your application for permanent residence under the Canadian Experience Class. Your skilled work experience does not have to be continuous but it must total one year of full-time work altogether.

“Full-time” means at least 30 hours of paid work in one week. One year of full-time work is at least 1560 hours.

That's the safest option I believe. However in my case the end date cannot be altered as I don't work there anymore and my work permit is already exhausted.
