CEC Timeline Question - Work Gap Scenario

Hey everyone! I've got a slightly tricky CEC timeline and would love some insight from those who've been through similar situations.
My work timeline:

• Worked Jan to May 2024 (5 months)
• Had a gap due to layoff
• Back to work since Sept 30, 2024

I understand CEC counts experience by month rather than exact dates. Does this mean I could potentially be eligible by early March 2025?
Also wondering:

• Will the points update automatically in my EE profile?
• If I get an ITA in March, should I wait until end of April to apply? (Not sure if they count by month or week - this could mean waiting until mid-May for the full 52 weeks)

I know these timeline questions pop up a lot, but every situation is a bit different. Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who's navigated something similar!
