I got Aor on Feb 10th.
Cec inland + Lmia points in a teer 1 job.
Got a job offer from a tech company also in same Teer and they are LMIA exempt.
Is it safe for me to change my employer? I’m considering the move given that salary change is significantly better however don’t want to restart the PR process.
Also which step is it safe to change after? AOR or FD, eCOPR?

Thanks!

You will lose the 50 points if you change jobs before PR. So if score is high enough without the 50 points then you can change. Also you would need a new closed work permit to work for new company with the approved LMIA exempt permit. Assume they applied and paid compliance fee.

Does he still have 50 points? Ain't that repealed?

And if you have already submitted for a PR application, you can apply for an open work permit.

If OP got AOR in February then would not have lost the points. ITA may have been given only because OP got the 50 points so if changes jobs, then should lose the points.

I can get a new closed work permit from the new employer if needed. Wouldn’t the new offer letter just replace the old one so no point loss?
New employer is one of the biggest companies in the world/city so no reason for them to think it’s not legit.

Don't think so as LMIAs no longer give points. You would need a LMIA from the company first. Is it approved? Contact IRCC and ask.
