Hello seniors and those who are new on this forum like me!
Couple days ago we finally received the IAP under Canadian Experience Class (express entry).
Lets everyone who is on the same step share questions and experience here?
For us the main question now - Can any step by step instructions about activities after IAP be found somewhere in this forum?
And there are some other questions:
- so after the IAP was sent new questions appeared in the application form, but there is no space to upload required documents/no document checklist. Is it correct that we should to answer all new questions, submit the form and then the checklist will appear?
- beside the police certificate from our country, should we also do a police check here in Canada? We've been living here for year and half, but i red somewhere that the canadian police check should be performed only by request
- Medical exam - should we make an appointment right away, or the application should be approved by CIC first and CIC should send the medical form? If we should go right away - what should we provide to the doctor? And what is the general procedure? (not what they check, but how it can be tracked?)

we probably will have more questions soon, but this is the main ones to start with I believe...

Thank you in advance to everyone who will find some time to share this information with us:)

After ITA you have to answer all the applications questions, after that you'll be able to upload requested documents, which depends on your answers.

Police certificates for any country you lived more than 6 months, except Canada, are compulsory, you should request it ASAP (better before ITA)

Medical appointment must to be made ASAP too.

In Application all work experience claimed must be supported by a proper reference letter.

Other documents:
All applicants Passports and national IDs
Marriage certificates/common-law partner form and supporting documents.
Sime relatives birth certificates (childs typically)
Proof of funds. Supposedly are not needed for CEC applicants but you'll be requested to submit it, so better do it.
Current WP or similar documents.
More depending on your personal details.

So, fill out completely and accurately your application and be ready to send requested documents.

Request PCC and certificates ASAP.

Fortunately our police check certificates from home country was recieved by our relatives couple days ago (we requested them during our last visit. This is good news:)
It looks like we have more questions already...
- So we dont need to do police check here in Canada now? or we can do it just in case?
- Proof of funds - this is just a letter from bank with amount under main applicant account? or as a family we can show two letters that together contain acceptable amount?
- Reference letters - is it nesessary to provide reference letters from previous jobs outside Canada? (we though only reference letters within canadian work experience are nessessary under CEC). if yes, what should we do if some complanies (outside Cabada) listed do not exist anymore?...

And some questions we got during completing application questions.
- if adress(city) has been changed dirung unemployed time should we make two different rows for this unemployement periods each with different city?
- will they request information about jobs (even canadian) or education that were not listed in the initial express entry application and we were not going to get any poits for this (job and education not related to our NOC/current work experience, that does not matter now).

Thank you so much once again.

- Canada PCC are not needed. (But CIC could request it later in some occasions)

- POF apparently are not a CEC request, but EE application is asking for. Bank letter for both of you, 6 months accounts and card statements, properties, mortgage...

You'll see what is requested after finish your application in upload area.

- Reference Letters for all your jobs you're claiming points, supposedly for all of your profile jobs. If you don't have one, you should remove the job in your application claimed experience, losing some score.

If you score after reduce jobs without Reference Letters is lower than draw score your application will be rejected.

I made this mistake, but fortunately I had enough score.

- Unemployment in different cities: better use two different lines to match your address history.

- Application is requesting for 10 years personal history (work, unemployment, studies), not Reference Letters/documents are required for this list.

The reference letter situation is difficult... we have reference letter from canadian job (1 year) + one more from one of the previous jobs (2 years). all other companies that we listed - they dont exist anymore.
so as soon as we cant provide reference letter from them - we have to remove them from "work experience table" but keep them in personal info table? or we could write a letter of explanation and attach letters, explaining the situation, from previous managers, who worked in this currently unexisting companies with us..... Have you ever met this kind of situations on the forum?

The draw score - you ment the minimum score in the round of invitation? I think if we remove all that companies we will lose about 12 points... (we have 2 years to show, but we showed 3+ years initially) as soon as we have LMIA we still will have almost 1000 points...
But is it ok to list companies once and claim points (even if they are not crusial) and then remove them from the list... Wont it show us from a bad side?...
Thanks for sharing this experience and for all the help!!!

If you have LMIA don't worry about it.

A Letter from a former supervisor could work, but you don't need to expend any time on it.

I did the same mistake, filling my whole work story (20+ years! ) in EE profile, when applying I realized the Reference Letters issue, but having LMIA I removed jobs without Letter (you must write down in your personal history anyways). I lost a few points but didn't hurt my application.

No problem, you're very welcome!

Now we are ready to move forward.
So the next step for us is to generate checklist (all forms are completed). we just need to press "continue" button i suppose...
But will we be able to get back to work history and remove all jobs we dont have support documents for? Or we need to remove them before generating a checklist... (We want to see the chacklist asap but still desiding is we need to remove unsupported jobs or go with refs letters from sofmer supervisors...)

This is so great that there are people who are ready to give an advice:)

You can you to the documents list now and come back later to remove jobs without Letter, I think I did it several times.

However, remove these jobs is easy, so you can firts remove it, the checklist will be shorter.

You better double and triple check all the forms, looking for dates, numbers... Specially check information appearing in more than one document for consistency.

It's extremely important you have no gaps in your personal story.

You can ask for more reference letters but don't let this issue delay your PR application.

Having 1000+ score it's pointless to claim more foreign experience under EE-CEC class

We are so close to submitting our application.
Probably you can help us with our final questions:
1. We have car loan (part of the car was bought with cash, but we still have a 2 years loan of about 9000 Cad). Should we submit any documents about it? (We went to our bank and they gave us a document that we dont have loans.. but our loan is in another bank. Or there is no reason to show tis loan as well not to show rental contract?

2. We have property in our home country. But we live in canada for more then 1,5 years. Should we still add this info? (now we are showing bank statements, t4 for 2014 and 2015, notice of assesment for 2014)

3. We have a valid travel document. but we also have a plenty of old travel documents that have all our traveling visas. We providing them. But should we also add them to the table in the short question section where we providing info for our currently valid passport.

4. What makes more sense - one big letter of explanation, or several letters of explanation about each particular section added to the final PDF?

5. Medical exam - I know I'm a paranoic but i'm concerned... we did medical exam. results in couple weeks. we are submitting application today/tommorow. In case the results are not good - will we have a chance to do in exam once again under this IAP, and submit proof in one-two weeks, or we need to get one more IAP? (I know the story when they messed up the blood test and person got the false "not passed" for medical exam)

6. How to upload LMIA? which pages? or just number is important?

Thank you very very very much in advance:)

1. Yes, you have to inform of all your loans

2. I didn't include my home country home because isn't "cashable", isn't a fund I can use to settle here (anyways I came 4 years ago)

3. Only current passport is requested (except you have multiple citizenship and your last passport is expired).
If you send copies of visas in older passports, include a little explanatory letter with scanned passports )

4. You can submit only one Explanation Letter, so one document with several sections is better.

However I created a few little explanation letters added to Proof of Funds, Marriage certificate and some else, because I prefer VO knows some details when open this documents instead to wait for the general explanation letter.

So little letters added to relevant documents and a general letter.

5. If something isn't good CIC will ask for more tests, don't worry about it.

My doctor said if something looks wrong she'll let me know to be ready, fortunately everything was OK.

6. If your current job is LMIA based, you only need your current WP number, at least I wasn't requested for LMIA.

Thank you very much for your answers:) Because of your help we are so close to the end now:)
1. What kind of proof for loan should we provide? Should we just inform (in a LOE), or attach real documents? To my understanding with LMIA and valid job offer we don't need to worry about meeting any particular funds requirements, we just need to funds requirements, we just need to show our current finansial situation (statement, NOA, t4)

2. I think we will make one big cover letter devided into sections where we will outline all moments we need to explain. (I though of adding a small letters to each sections, but there are some info we want to explain that has no option to upload a letter (like some periods in personal history)

3. We have LMIA.. probably it still makes sense to upload it just in case.

Now I'm a little bit concerned that we are adding more documents that required. Can it be considered as something bad? Or always better to send as much as possible to prevent any possible questions?

Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!! :)

1. As far CEC doesn't require POF, but EE is asking for, I guess is better to provide full information, so any document about the loan should be better than a simple explanation.

2. That's OK but if you should upload some documents which need clarification add a little letter to the document (merging several PDF files in one)

3. If you have the LMIA upload it, probably together with your current WP.

Just upload requested documents plus any documents needed to clarify or add information.

You should send all the documents needed to clarify and support your application, it's depends on your personal situation

We submitted our application last week:) Without your help it would be more difficult:)
So ready to a long wait...
What is going to happen next? when can we expect the changes for different statuses?
Are there any information when any of this steps will start happening?

Thanks:)
