Hi All,

For my express entry profile, i see that I did not get any points for my Job Offer. After reading around i think the reason is because its LMIA-Exempt and i haven't yet completed 1 year.

So the question now is when i complete 1 year.

Would i get points for my job offer + Points for my experience
OR
I will get points only for my experience.

Asking because at the link below, it does not give any details about job points vs experience points.

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/documents/offer-employment/lmia-exempt.html

LMIA-exempt job offers – Skilled immigrants (Express Entry)
For Express Entry, your employer doesn’t need an LMIA if you:
  1. have been working full-time for the employer on your work permit for at least one year (or an equal amount of part-time work)
  2. have a valid job offer, and
  3. have a valid work permit that is exempt from an LMIA under
    • an international agreement
    • a federal-provincial agreement or
    • the “Canadian interests” category

Thanks in Advance.

If you have a valid job offer for one year least after you get your PR then yes you will get both points. If not, then only u get the scores of experience.

Good luck

This is the link to the CRS score information.
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/eligibility/criteria-comprehensive-ranking-system/grid.html

Or, you could use the calculator to determine your score under different scenarios -
