CEC express entry application, almost three years

Hi all,
I have filed for express entry application on second week of April 2017 under CEC with LMIA. medical passed on somewhere in May 2017, since then no update. We had a additional document request for tax returns on 24th March 2017, submitted on same day.
The additional document status was " the documents you have provided is being reviewed', since then .
On second week of January 2020, the ADR status changed to "we are reviewing the additional documents you provided".
It has been almost 3 years since our application has been filed.
Would some one suggest what is happening on our file or is there any way we could find out why its taking a long time.
When called CIC, they tell there is no update and they don't need any more details. GCMS notes also not giving any info, infact we didn't got some gcms notes we ordered, so stopped ordering and calling to cic. Generated a case specific enquiry on 14th October 2019, got a reply that the application is still in process. Please help

GEEZ, that´s a long time for an EE application. Just a guess, but it sounds like maybe you´re having issues with the security clearance. Your Member of Parliament (MP) can make an inquiry on your behalf - that should not affect the outcome, but it can sometimes break the logjam. Look up your MP and find his/her office for constituency services.
