I recently became eligible (at least that's what I think) to apply for my PR through CEC. Brief history of me:

1. Did my masters at U of A (2 years program) and graduated by May 2012 (worked part time for 2 months when I was studying, so I guess 1 month of full time work)
2. Worked for 5 months in a certain company. Felt I could do something better, so quit.
3. The next 3 months I was not working in my field of study(Business). I was serving at a restaurant because I have always wanted to do it.
4. Then a certain company interested me and I worked for them for 7 months. And then I really did not like the culture so I quit and I looking for work now.

Here are my questions
1. Am I eligible to apply through CEC?
2. Would my file be weak because I have not work in a single company for the entire period?
3. Is it better if I applied when I have a job?

Thanks a lot guys. I would appreciate honest inputs!!

What were your job titles? they have to fall in NOC 0 A B to be eligible for CEC.

2. Would my file be weak because I have not work in a single company for the entire period?
It doesn't really matter I think. the employement reference letter is important.

3. Is it better if I applied when I have a job?
maybe, but as long as your previous work experience was over 1 year and the job was under NOC 0 A B, you are eligible.

Thanks friend.

The job titles in that order were

1. Marketing and Development Assistant
2. Business Development Associate
3. Product Owner

P.S. The restaurant job, Do I just not even bring it up?

I dont know much about your job and you should check with HRSDC and see which NOC code you are in
http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2011/QuickSearch.aspx?val65=*
If the restaurant job is not under NOC 0 A B you dont need to mention it in the Candian Work Experience Form. But you have to include it in IMM5669 Background dec. Pls correct me if i am wrong
