CEC-Education Eligibility

Hi Seniors,

I am stuck with real dilemma.
I am currently in Canada under PGWP and working as a QA Automation Specialist (NOC : 2173) since Sept 2008. I have done BSC in Computer Science from University of Toronto, Toronto, I am eligible to apply for PR-Immigration under CEC however i have a doubt in my mind regarding my educational qualification. I would really appreciate if you can help me with the query. I am thinking of applying under CEC Immigration.


1st year - full time
2nd year - part time (because of pre-requisite course)
3rd year - full-time
4th year - part time (got sick in oct and had to drop all the courses)
5th year - part time ( only had 1 course left)

I was wondering if I am still eligible to apply. Waiting for your reply.

You are eligible for CEC through the graduate stream once you have received your BSC degree and acquired 1 year of full time paid working experience relevant to your education and classified under NOC 0,A,B within 3 years of your CEC application date.

Yes, as far as I can see.

Your doubt about the education is regarding the part-time years, right? But as I understand it, the 2-year full time requirement relates to the program requirements, not necessarily the length of time you take to finish the program. Since you did a 4-year degree, no problem.
