Hello Friends,

I will file my PR next month and 1 year's experience, I have 4 months in NOC B 6235 and the rest 8 months in NOC A - 1114. Under what category, will I fall, will a cap of 200 be applicable to me as 4 months of my experience falls under NOC.

Out of 52 weeks of full time work, i have worked less than 30 hours for 2 weeks, however have covered the defecit in the rest of the weeks. Do we have to work as - 52 weeks times 30 hours or they see the overall hours if 2 weeks we couldn't complete 30 hrs.

Please advise. Thank you very much in advance.

If you want to claim experience under 2 NOCs, you would have to meet the requirements for both. So, yes, the cap would apply to NOC 6235.

Technically, you have worked 50 weeks full-time, plus 2 weeks part-time (how many part-time hours?). You cannot "shift" hours from a week where you work more than 30 hours, to one where you worked fewer.

To meet the requirement, you would have work longer to make up the difference between the part-time work and its full-time equivalent (2 weeks * 30 hours = 60 hours). So subtract the total part-time hours from 60, that will tell you how many extra hours/weeks (full-time or FTE) you would have to work to qualify.

It's a good idea anyway to work a little bit extra just to make sure there's no error, give yourself some extra time. Remember, 1 year (52 weeks) is the MINIMUM requirement. People who have miscalculated have been refused for as little as missing a couple of days...
