Hello All,

Is it possible to apply to CEC PR under different NOC; for example if I was worked under NOC 2130 (Required English test band 6) and now I want to apply PR under NOC 2281 (required english test band below 6) ?

Also, let me know if it would be difficulty while applying new Job? under any of NOC skills ?

say I want to apply Software Developer job (NOC 2130) but I have PR under NOC 2281..

Details explaination will be helpful.

If you gained your skilled work experience in Canada in a NOC 0 or A job, you need level of CLB 7 in either English or French for all four language abilities.
But suppose CLB7 doesn;t meet and now I want to apply PR as well as job under CLB5.. is it possible?

NOC code 2130 does not exist - you might be looking for NOC code 2174, "Computer programmers and interactive media developers" (see http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/noc/english/noc/2011/quicksearch.aspx?val65=2174).

I believe you're asking two questions, "can I apply for CEC under a different NOC code from the jobs I have worked in, to make the language requirement easier" (no, you can't) and "once I have applied for CEC, can I work in a different occupation" (yes, you can work in any occupation).

To be clear - one does not apply for CEC "under" a NOC code. That is, there is no place in the CEC application package where you nominate a single NOC code for the application. NOC codes only appear in your work experience information, where you nominate twelve months full-time (or equivalent) skilled work experience - which you may have gained in several jobs in different occupations - and the NOC code(s) you specify here must be accurate.

As LPS said, you don't apply under an "NOC", you apply based on your Canadian work experience.

If you have at least 1 year experience performing the work of a job that fits NOC 2281, you can apply. But if you try to pretend you had a lower skilled occupation than the one you actually did because you had trouble with the English test, VOs have seen this attempt to "game the system" many many times ...

A better strategy would be to try to improve your test scores. You could even try taking the other test (CELPIP vs IELTS).
