CEC AOR 2018

HI All, I applied PR under CEC and my AOR is 2018. Its been more then 8 months now and my application is still under progress. On a recent call with CIC they said my file is in edmanton office because sometime applications are shared internally to distribute the work load.
Has anyone faced this type of situation or is hanging in the same situation like me ?

that is normal for your file to travel around different offices.
I had mine moved to 4 different offices

I did.. after 15+ months

Was your file also processing in Edmantan office ? On enquiring they simply say that background check is going on.
