Hello everyone, this is just driving me crazy and I need some guidance. For CEC, 1 year of full-time employment is required. Ok, that I understand. So I started my FT employment exactly 1 year ago (on September 16, 2014). Technically, I have 1 year of full-time employment. I have worked exactly 1656 hours.

Do I need to wait one more month in order to complete the 52 weeks (1560 = 52 weeks x 30 hours), or am I ready to apply?

Don't worry..

Just create your profile, the system calculates your point automatically.. Same thing happened to me, it gave me the point 1 week before my anniversary. you don't need to calculate it yourself...

I got the ITA after the system gave me point for the 1 yr Canadian exp... so go ahead just create your profile

Great guys, that is awesome =) thank you so much for the prompt answer!!
One quick question: in one of my cheques (I get paid biweekly), it states that I worked 48.75 (which is less than 30hrs/week), however it also states that I got paid 8 hours for a holiday and 7 hours for a sick day, totalizing 63.75 hours for that pay cheque. Should I worry about this pay cheque and wait another week to play on the safe side or my holiday+sick day will make it?

You have more than 52 weeks buddy- Sept 16 2014-Sept 16 2015 is 13 months, i.e. 56 weeks+. Please note that a full year of employment is 12 months and it is not 4*12=48, rather 52 weeks. In your case it was Sept 16 2014-August 16th 2015. You have some months that have more than 4 weeks. So you are more than qualified (provided you did not have any unpaid breaks from your work here in Canada).

As long as the holidays and sick leaves are paid, you are good to go.
Though on the safe side, it's recommended to have an extra 1-2 weeks of buffer zone, in case CIC sees things a little different.

But you are not applying now, are you? you are just creating profile so you're ok.

Thank you so much for everyone’s thoughts on this =) I will soon create my profile then..

Last question: both me and my husband have an application in progress to extend our stay as workers, as our status is soon expiring. I have a LMIA in hands, so I am pretty confident I will receive ITA. The processing time is now more than 3 months.

What happen to the previous WP application if I submitted an application for PR after ITA?
Thank you so much

An application for a work permit and an application for PR are two completely different things. The PR application has no effect on the work permit application. The work permit however authorizes your stay in Canada, which does have a positive impact on your PR application : )

Are there any particular requirements as to the job - being a specific NOC or being continuous throughout the 52 weeks?

My mistake, they have changed it. CRS points used to require continuous employment while CEC doesn't. Now they both don't.

Do you by a chance have a link to the info that work experience in terms of CRS points for FSW do not have to be continuous?
