Not much. Try and get your employer to get an LMO prior to the event!

- extend your work permit

- change to visitors visa or student visa to extend your stay
- you would need to apply for a school and pay the tuition in order to extend your stay as a student. after receiving your student visa, you can stay in Canada and wait for your PR. But you would have to go back to school for this option.

- for visitors visa, it would an unlikely scenario to get a visa for longer than 6 months so this still wouldn't be enough b.c the avg. wait time is about a year to a year and a half.

- apply from your home country so you don't have to worry about visa issues in Canada
