CBSA report

I've seen a few people on this forum mention that they've requested their CBSA report to help validate their residency calculations/passport stamps during interview. However in the citizenship application form, if you check the relevant box to authorize CIC to collect entry history from CBSA it states that you should not contact CBSA to request the report.

I see the CIT 0002 form was updated 2/2014 so I'm not sure if things have changed in respect to authorizing CIC to collect the entry history, but I am just interested if there is any compelling reason to request the report or if people have done just fine without it?

Hi Pedros,
I got an Pre-test RQ in May2013. Replied in June2013. I authorized CIC to check my entry& exits from CBSA. Didn't attach one replying RQ in June.
But recently i've applied just to cross check my entries and exits and still waiting. I don't think so there would be any negative effect on my application.
