cashing united states postal money orders

I recently sent some USPS money orders to a family in canada, I ask if they could cash them there, and they said they thought so, after they recieved them they can't cash them, anybody know of a way to get them cashed other than take them to the states to get them cashed?

MONEY GRAM IS BEST.

The best thing I would advise you is that they return the money orders to you and then you send them a Money Gram which is less expensive than Western Union.

This way they would get the money the same day and in cash. They could probably go and deposit it in the bank but it would take 20 days to clear them so the Money Gram is the best solution.
