cash in pounds ................how to show proof of funds

hi all.

i have a pounds left after my uk trip. How do I include that in my proof of funds?????

The only possible way I have thought of is to deposit it in my savings account .( I am an indian citizen and living in India). But that would mean converting it first into Indian rupees, deposting it in the Indian Bank and then reconverting it to canadian dollars to take to canada.

1................Is there any other way I can show this amount without going through this complicated maze.......

do you have foreign currency accounts available with your bank in India?

if so, just deposit as GBP, than later on convert GBP to CAD when you move to Canada
