Hi All,
would like to know whether candidate who is applying for tfw should maintain funds in bank account and show properties on his name.

If yes, how much funds has to be shown in bank account and property?

and what is the period of duration these funds have to be maintained?

how are above conditions applicable to the spouse who is eligible for open work permit?

Both of these (funds and properties) can serve as an additional proof of residential ties to your home country. As far as I remember, you have to indicate available funds on the application form, but they do not necessarily ask you for a proof; properties are generally not required.

There is no rule of how much funds has to be shown. As an idea, I'd use the information from the FSW immigration page - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp

For the standard duration of the funds to be maintained, I'd say 3 months is ok.

Your spouse should be in the same application as you, i.e. same conditions for both of you. If you don't bring your spouse on the same application, that can create potential issues.

P.s. This is based on my own experience, which was ~5 years ago, maybe something has changed; + in any case, there is no guarantee that the work permit will be issued.
