Case Study: If one started his/her work on July 20, 2015 and creating EE profile on Sept 5, 2015 with employment letter accordingly for this period, the EE profile calculates it as 3 months experience instead of 1.5 months. My question is, will the Visa Officer see this as 1.5 months or 3 months?

The work experience is calculated by month wise or day wise?

The system calculates it like that because the lowest granularity is month (MM-YYYY format). It is up to you to factor this in while submitting your application. The VO will assume that you knew about this discrepancy and chose to ignore it and they will take whatever actions as they deem appropriate without giving you any chance to explain.
