Is the application number the file number?

My husband is sending an enquiry, but we don't have a UCI for him, just for me (the sponsor). So I wanted to put the application number in, but I only see an entry for 'file number'. That the same?

i guess it says optional in front of UCI and File number
so you may even leave it blank
Seniors can correct me if i am wrong !!

I just put in in, lawl. It said they won't get back to me if it's not over the processing time.. but like, I wasn't asking for an update on status. Will they not reply?

Wait till 28 days thats the only time you can expect them to reply after 28days forget about this inquiry because they wont reply !!

Hey do they really don't reply if its not over the processing time? I was planning to send an inquiry by the end of this month.
CIC will reply me that sit back quietly and don't disturb us until the processing time is over

I'm not sure Just send it. Worst thing is they don't reply, lawl.
