Case Specific Enquiry – New Delhi

Hi All

I applied to sponsor my wife in May 2013. In mid December the status changed to "IN PROCESS" and there has been no update since. My wife was asked to do a chest x-ray in September as they suspected latent (inactive) TB in her lungs but it turned out to be negative. This was submitted by the lab to the Indian High Commission at the end of December and still there has been no status update on eCas about whether the medical was received or where they are on the application. So I have been thinking about questioning them through the Case Specific Enquiry for New Delhi. But one of the requirements of those who use the form is:

Your application has exceeded normal processing times. We will not respond to your enquiry if the application is within normal processing times.

The normal processing time for New Delhi is 13 months. So since only 12 months have passed and not 13 months, is it wise to do a Case Specific Enquiry or should I wait until the 13th month passes?
I also heard that when you do a Case Specific Enquiry, the application goes to the bottom of the pile again. Is that true?

Good suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Thanks. Have you done this enquiry before? Did it help?
