I have applied for visitor Visa in Canada now but received a letter of misrepresentation as I forgot to mention about my marriage. I got married in 2017 with a guy who is citizen of Canada. We got divorced now, he has sponsered me but later withdrawn the file due to Divorce. I have submitted all the proofs on the very 2nd day after I received the mail( letter of misrepresentation) . It has been 10 days , I haven't received any notification. Kindly guide how much time it will take. Is there any chance that my Visa will be rejected??

Submitting proof of something that IRCC already knows won’t help. You need to address the reasons why you left the information out. I wouldn’t be holding out too much hope for a TRV and it will likely end with a 5 year ban from Canada.

Your agent told you not to mention a previous marriage to a canadian, after you had already applied for sponsorship?

You are in a world of trouble.

What explanation did you offer?

That the clerk filled the information from passport only and the requisite information remains unreported. And as I was doing it for first time I couldn't doubt Or detect the mistake while signing the documents.
I have mentioned about the mutual divorce also. It was all unknowingly.

Doesn't matter, you have an obligation to review the forms before you submit them. You cannot blame an agent for a mistake on forms you signed.

Once you received a procedural fairness letter, anything is possible. No timelines apply.

You realize you will most likely not get the TRV now, and could be banned from applying for Canadian visas for five years, yes?

Best case scenario you should be expecting a refusal. Worse case scenario a 5 year ban.

It may be several months before you have an answer.

Okay .. thankyou. I am hoping that either I get the visa or either a refusal . As it is better than a bann for five years.
