My employer asked me to go to the Philippines with them for more than 3 weeks vacation, to take care of their child while on vacation. But when i was about to go back to Canada, at the Philippines Airport i was stop to board the plane because I was not able to provide the "OEC" or Overseas Employment Certificate . So i did apply for it.. But now even though I had the "OEC", I'm so worried that since its almost two months, from march 31 2012,the embassy might ask me or worse denied me to go back to Canada for having an extended stay here in the Philippines due to my problem. I had no problem with my VISA because its valid until April 14 2013 and its also multiple entry. But the thing is I'm not sure if that is enough. I don't have an open permit yet, since I only stayed in Canada for 21 months, but my contract through my employer is good for 3 yrs and 3 months from the date of my entry in Canada which is June 21 2010. I had all my important papers to show to them, I had my working permit too which is issued to me when i first step to CANADA, and its stated there that its good until June of 2013.I need some advice, that although i had this supporting documents Im so worried that I will still have some problem in embassy or immigration, I dont know if I can still go back to Canada. Please help me. Thank You

you try to call some helping hands group here in Canada for your case, ask your employer to write a letter for you or best to call CIC to ask about your case and to tell them that they're still willing to get you back..hope you can come back here, knowing 3 more months before you can apply for open work..

You should not have any problem with Canadian authorities if you have a letter from your employer stating you're going to work for them upon arrival in Canada? Why did it take you so long to get your OEC?
