If employer is in Quebec, then need a LMIA to apply for a closed work permit. If not in Quebec, then wait for caregiver program to open up. US visa not relevant.
So wait until Caregiver program opens and get all documentation ready. Under old program, processing was about 3 years so it may or may not be processed faster. Let employer know that. Good luck.
Hello, are you from Cohen Immigration? If so, how much will you charge to process my paper under this program? Should I exit Canada when I get my work work permit?
No don’t work for Cohen. It is a PR program…have you and your employer even read the requirements? Under the old program processing times were around 3 years. If you want to sit around for a few years waiting then go ahead. At some point, your visitor record will be refused.

I think this an automatic refusal if this person applies, because she needs work permit to gain the 6 months experience, but IRCC doesn't provide Work Permit to persons on visitor visa anymore
the employer is going to give a job offer. I have scored 7 in English, I got my credential in ICAS (above grade 12). I have PSW certificate. I am under visitor's permit in Canada, expiring in September 2025. When applying for caregiver work permit under new pathway opening in March 2025 on line, do I have to physically be outside Canada to submit my application? OR once approved, my work permit then I should exit Canada to obtain my work permit?
1. Having a visitor visa doesn’t let you stay in Canada past 6 months. So you need to extend stay as visitor.
2. You can be in Canada but it is a PR program. There is no work permit. Read the press release. You also need work experience. Again past processing was 3 years. So tell your employer that.
got a question.. my wife is already in canada under HCCP pathway. However, I have an OWP application from a different pathway that got refused. Recently, I applied for OWP (wife's spousal sponsorship) under HCCP pathway, still my application got refused citing the reason from the previous application( Not HCCP). Hope somebody can guide me. thanks in advance
