I am a newbie here. I am a chemist from the Philippines and have been waiting for an interview since last September 2006. I know that I have a long way to go waiting-wise. Right now, I am working for a multinational company but not really practicing my profession- I am currently involved in method development. Would anyone know which course of action would be most beneficial while I wait for my embassy interview:
1. Take up Master's units in Chemistry (would take 4 years to complete).
2. Take up additional units to qualify for a Chemical Engineer license (2-3 years to complete).
3. Take up a course on becoming a professional chef (1 year). I have recently found love for cooking but not really that experienced.

my dear, what kind of application did you apply for?. whatever you have in your application, you should stick to it to strenghthen your case. Lets say you applied as an Engineer, dont take course like Cosmetology, because it doesn't make any sense. Get courses that will support your papers!!!. Did you get the message?. Besides, you need to have local experiences and licenses before you can start with your specialty.
