Moving temporarily from the US to Canada. Have two vehicles but wife cannot drive on the highway, so I am driving one and trying to get the other one in by other means.
I asked a US car moving service for a quote and they have quoted 700 from Atlanta to Watertown, but then they hand it over to a Canadian company and it costs 1000 to go from Watertown to Ottawa. I do not need to permanently import this - just bring it in for the duration of my temporary work permit stay (one year). 1700 seems excessive, but probably includes import related fees. Does anyone know any Canadian side companies that can help with the process - all I need is someone/company to drive the car from Watertown to Ottawa (about 4 hour max).
