Car Import - Step by Step Process

Hi,

Can anyone share their experience in car import to Canada from USA?

I have travels to Canada many times but never seen any US custom or Canada Custom office. Most of time I'm directly at Border post for Canada when traveled through Detroit.

What is step by step process you have followed? I'll be moving to Canada on my work permit.

You aren't required to import the car if you are on a work permit. http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/publications/pub/bsf5068-eng.html#s4 Check with your insurance company about coverage in Canada.
