I am a new resident who is still in USA. I am trying to figure our answers to following questions:
1. Do I have to pay any import duty if I am a Canadian permanent resident moving from USA to Canada?
Reason: I read in one of the posts here that there might be some relaxation in taxes for PR's. I might be wrong there.
2. Do I have to pay import duty/taxes on the purchase price or the current value of the car? I purchased car at around 35k USD and now the value is around 11k USD. (The title, registration and insurance are in my name).
