CAQ from Quebec with a Conditional Letter of Admission

Hello everybody.

I applied for CAQ and I sent all the documents. However, in the university they didn't tell me anything about this inmmigration process.
I sent my documents but I attached my conditional letter of admission... Do you think that I will have problems?

The conditions that I need to meet before starting my studies are:
* Finishing my master degree in Mexico
* Obtain the student visa, CAQ and the medical insurance.

I sent an email to the registration office of the university and they told me that that's not a problem but I'm not sure about that.

In this week I will have the documents proving that I finished my master program but my worry is that they reject my application and I can't apply again.

CAQ is not very difficult to obtain, so I believe you will get the CAQ since I obtained mine with a conditional offer just last year. Once a college or a university has given you an offer being it conditional or not, Quebec Immigration will surely grant you the CAQ. Don't not worry much, you will get a positive response within some few weeks.

I have another question... regarding the processing time, I sent my documents in December and they received these in 21/Dec/2015 but I didn't receive any message of confirmation for the reception of these documents. Is it normal?

Did you apply online or paper based? I did mine online and after sending the documents and paying the required fee, I had only a confirmation and payment receipt by mail and my online file as had the same messages. After that I had no update until my CAQ was issued after 4 to 5 weeks.

I applied with the online application, I paid and then I downloaded the "checklist" and I sent all the documents... in my online file I don't have any messages just the opening file and the receipt of payment (like my email).
When your CAQ was sended... Did they notify you by email?

I sent my documents by registered mail, so upon tracking it i got to know that it has been delivered. My online file was not updated until the final decision was made. I had my CAQ, so i hope you get yours soon.

hello everyone.

I have applied for fall2016 undergraduate electrical engineering program of Concordia university.now I have come to know that I will be considered for given program as extended credit program ECP which will lead to my degree being 5yrs long and I will be required to complete 30aditional credits in addition to 120 credits.

even though pr is easy in quebec and job prospects are better. can any of u guys recommend me going for 5 year program .5yr program means more tuition fee to graduate. Also I am not sure if Canadian embassy grants study permit for 5years .personally I am considering ryerson university in which I have applied for same term.


I would appreciate any help regarding this.

I think that you have to renew your study permit or visa.
For example my PhD is 4 years long but CAQ and Visa are issued with 3 years... maybe I will need to renew them for 1 year more... but I'm not sure, maybe someone else with this problem can help you.
