Hi all!,
This is a problem that will surely be encountered by many others applying for a Student Visa to Quebec, Canada. The CAQ is mandatory to obtain the aforementioned document.
The problem is as follows:
The online CAQ application form asks me to select the CVO (Canadian Visa Office) where I will submit my student visa application (within India). However, the selection list does not include locations which are near my hometown. This is odd given that the official Canada Immigration website (cic.gc.ca) states that there are two such visa processing nearby, including my hometown. I have called up these nearby locations and they do accept student visa applications.
In this light, will there be a problem if I select a location on the online CAQ form but apply for the student visa at a different location, i.e. my hometown, once I obtain my CAQ by post/electronically?
I have written to the CAQ office last week but there has been no response by them as of yet.
I appreciate you guys taking the time out of your busy schedule to assist me with this matter.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
Shivaang.
