Hello. I moved to US with my parents with L2 visa in 2001 with dual intent. My parents applied for green card but got denied. We petitioned the result, which the immigration office accepted. This process of apply->wait for result->reject->petition->accept petition->wait for more pattern continued until 2009.

Because we were waiting for the green card app all these years, the reasons for visa overstay should be technically valid. Currently I do not have a valid visa to stay in US.

I cannot go back to my home country to apply for visa because if I get denied, I won't be able to come to US (and be screwed bc i can't go to college!). Our financials support from the US and back home is very solid and should pose no problem

I know there is a problem to get student visa for students staying in another country illegally, but is there anyway I can get CAQ and study permit? A letter explaining my situation (unintentional overstay, legal status all this time) and my decision to go to college in Canada, despite I got into colleges in the US, because I want to stay legal in country where I stay?

please help
