Cap of 12,000 Applied to CEC for PR

Hi All,

I am new to Canada (its been exactly one year) & to this community. I am planning to apply PR under CEC category. I came across the below a website mentioning that "New Cap of 12,000 Applied to Canadian Experience Class Category for Permanent Residence in Canada".

I came to know that this quota is now filled out completely. Also I have noticed that in this forum some people have mentioned that they are applying in Jan 2014.

Please suggest on the below.

[a] How do I check if the current year quota is finished or not ?
If the quota is filled, can I still apply and will CIC process my application for next year
[c] If CIC does not process my application for next year what options do I have ?

Hi,
Please review the thread below. You will notice that the cap is far from being filled. CIC has not been updating the number of applications received and that's about it. You can send your application whenever it's complete

This number is current as of mid December 2013. Despite the explanatory text claiming that "The numbers presented are updated weekly" they have not been changed since then. Looks like CIC misplaced the update instructions during the website revamp.

That said, the quotas (12k overall cap and 200 each per NOC B sub-class) are far from filled.

Yah as per the text they were supposed to update every 7 days. But i guess the person responsible for the update, was seeing doubles - so he may update after 77 days
