Hi all,

Just a quick one. I have every document I need to upload to my EE profile except for one job I worked at years ago. Since I left the company it went into liquidation and no longer exists. I have no pay stubs from that time period either and no other record of it. I've been chasing people down as best as I can to get the info I need but its proving to be an impossible task.

In this is the case what do I do?

Is it possible to make an exception for that role or will my application just be rejected by the person working it?

I understand that it states I MUST have proof of this employment but I'm a little unsure how I'm supposed to get around this.

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Was that job essential towards attaining program eligibility?

Did it add to your CRS score?

If the answer to any of those is Yes, you will have to put in all possible efforts to get some evidence for that job. Track down old colleagues or supervisors who could ratify your roles & responsibilities and other details required by CIC. If you can't track down anyone, get a notarized self-declaration stating the same things. Upload the document along with a Letter of Explanation highlighting your inability to procure reference letter in the required format because the company doesn't exist anymore and request the VO to consider your case favorably.

If the answer is No, simply add a Letter of Explanation highlighting the fact that your program eligibility and CRS score are unaffected by this work experience, that you added it only in the spirit of full disclosure and your inability to procure reference letter in the required format because the company doesn't exist anymore and request the VO to consider your case favorably.

All the best!
