Hi All,
I am in a weird situation but I hope your guidance can assist.
So, I was supposed to go on Maternity leave in December 2019, but due to project closure - my employer gave me a notice on November 15, 2019. After talking to them, I started my Mat leave earlier i.e. on November 27 (two days before my termination period).
After consultation with Employment lawyer, I was reimbursed for financial losses. (that's different story)
However, my ROE belongs to Maternity Leave.
I have the Reference letter which was issued on November 13, 2019. I have tried contacting my employer and even my lawyer has tried contacting my employer for Employment letter and period of work - but with no response from his side.
My question is - Should I mention all this in Letter of Explanation to IRCC or if something like below should be okay (as my ROE states I am on mat leave)?
Please assist.!
Thanks
Shruti

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing this letter to provide details for my employment with Square BPM INC.
The attached Employment letter was issued on November 13th, 2019. Starting from November 27th, 2019 my maternity leave has started for which I have attached ROE issued by my employer, and I have been on Maternity leave since then.
Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, I have not been able to return to work yet; however, I am enjoying these times with my little one.
Please feel free to contact me if you have further queries @ XXX-XXX-XXXX or X@email.com
Regards,
Shruti Kirti Kaushal
