Hi all, I have been with my boyfriend now for almost 3 years(he's born in Quebec). It has been a long distance relationship for all if it. We met in 2008 in Montreal when I was granted a TRV to stay with my high school friend who once lived in the same country (I am Jamaican and my high school friend is Canadian) . Since my boyfriend and I have known each other he has come here countless amount of times and I recently went to Quebec to reside with him for 3 weeks. I finish university next year my undergraduate BA with a major in language communications and I want to move to Canada after to be with him for good, but I know how strict Canada is with their immigration. I applied in 2008 for a TRV and got it..applied in 2010 for a multiple but was denied due to insufficient information and then applied again in 2011 and was granted a single entry. Is my only option marriage for a permanent stay?? HELP!! were tired of the back and forth!

;D Oops.................................... Here, we go again...........

If you both love each other and ready to get married (mentally & physically) and don't want to wait then marriage is the answer. Or find a job in Canada, you are major in Language Communications, there should not be a big problem. Canad is immigrant's country. Good luck and have courage 8)

I think you have two options,if you wanna be with your bf. Go for further study or find a job. Depends how strong your love is. 8)

It's pretty strong lol :) but were just not ready for marriage yet cause we havnt lived together.
Then you should start living together and find out if marriage is for you. And if you feel you are not ready for marriage just continue living together.

In some countries, there is a law, if you get engaged to some one officially, you can live with that person legally till you get married. But they should get married within six months or a year, I'm not sure about it. Find out the law in Canada. Engagement is easy to break up any time, than marriage, practically. If you legally live in that country, you can also look for part time work.Canada is famous for tourism and many tourist visit Canada in Summer than Winter. Finding a part time job in this sector is easier. Have courage, there's always a way out. God helps the true lover. ;D
