Hey guys.......

I hope anyone could help me with this matter. I applied online for work permit extension in Oct 2,2015 and mine will be expired Dec 8. After I paid and submitted my application I checked the website processing time takes around 116 days. I kinda regret it because I submitted before I check the processing time. I was thinking to cancel it and plan to renew in the border. Is it possible to cancel my online application and change it in the border? My current status is closed work permit with LMIA, but it will be expired Dec 8, 2015 and I am PR on process (got my PNP nomination and received PR file number already). According to the CIC online tool, I am eligible for open work permit, this is why I apply for open work permit extention (Change Status/Condition Form)

Does anyone have experience can be share regarding cancelling online application and renew it in the border which is faster?

I appreciate your help guys.

Thanks before

1. If you are applying for a BOWP, then you can't get them at the border. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/extend-worker.asp

You can try at border but if you have applied already being eligible for BOWP then just wait because after your status expires it will put you automatically on implied status which means you can continue your stay as a previous status ....so nothing to worry just wait for th decision cancelling app will create another confusion and delay.....to apply at the border you must be from visa exempt country...And I am not sure if they will approve your WP at broder...
Hope that helps...good luck :) :)

I decided to wait, its better

I appreciated your reply guys...thanks
waiting is better as it will complicate your case by applying more than apps...and it may lead to refusal/cancellation
