My wife is a canadian citizen (naturalized with her parents) she was born in Pakistan though. We've been living in pakistan ever since we got married (i'm not a candian citizen nor hold a PR).
She has Ontario health insurance card which she got made on her trip to canada last year. Her sister lives there.
Now we are about to have our baby in 4 months. Could she use her Ontario health insurance and give birth to our baby in Canada? Plz bear in mind that she doesnt fulfil the condition of Ontario health card that says she must be living in ontario for a period of 6 months in a year. Without the health insurance it is too expnsive. Do you thnk its possible for her to go and give delivery using her ontario health insurance?
If she does infact do that, would it hamper her chances of successfully sponsoring me (hr husband) as Canadian immigrant should we choose to do that in future? Or is it ok to go ahead and have the baby in canada knowing that she dosnt fulfil the stated condition on the health insuranc card and hoping that the authorities dont find out.
Should e take he risk?
