Hi All,
OPT is Optional Practical Training. Optional Practical Training (OPT) is a period during which undergraduate and graduate students with F-1 status who have completed or have been pursuing their degrees for more than nine months are permitted by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to work for at most one year on a student visa without needing to acquire a work H-1B visa towards getting a practical training to complement their field of studies.
I have completed Masters and during my masters i traveled to Canada many times. Now during OPT, I will not be a student and I will be working. So My Question was regarding getting Visa while on OPT as its a
temp work period and can it be a problem while gettig another Tourist Visa.
Thanks,
Tara Singh
P.S. I like the newly coined full form of
OPT ... On Personal Travel (You are genius)
