Your situation is a bit complex because of what you want to do in Canada.

If someone wants to simply visit Canada temporarily, you apply for a TRV.

However it sounds like what you want to do is live in Canada for a while and take care of your mother (which IRCC classifies as working). You can't really do this on a TRV. Unfortunately there's really no visa available that allows you to do this.

You can certainly use the TRV to come to Canada short term as a visitor to make arrangements for your mother's care. However you can't live in Canada or move to Canada. You'll be able to stay for a few weeks or months and then you'll have to leave. You won't qualify for health care coverage or any other benefits while in Canada as a visitor and your son won't be entitled to attend school.

Another option would be to consider moving your mother to Jamaica so that you can look after her full time there.
