Sadly, you will find many others who have the same response. Do a search in the white box, top right of the main forum page "visa refusal" or words like that. Read all the comments you can. You have to PROVE that you have strong ties to your home country. There is no guarantee that the VO who reads your application will approve the visa, even if you provide all the documents. I have heard comments like "You can walk away from property", "money can be transferred", "just because you traveled and returned once, doesn't mean you will this time".....and on it goes. They can turn every positive into a negative. I don't know your financial or work status, but if you have a good job that will prove that you are employable. Is the property substantial and in your name? Have funds been recently added to your bank account? Do you have a wife/children? If single, do they think the purpose of the visit is to visit a partner? Is the reason for your visit "compelling" (that is a favourite of theirs). Until you have significant documentation to address their reasons for refusal, it is best not to reapply, as each refusal seems to make it harder. Good Luck.

Bodhyogi,

I was refused on my first try but I got visa on my second. Same reasons as yours. Pippin is right. You have to show strong ties to your home country. Like employment, property and family. Please do shares the following so we can help you.

1. How long have you been in your current job? Do you have business?
2. Does the property under your name?
3. Are you single or married?
4. Is your family dependent on you financially?
5. What exactly the content of your invitation letter from your friend?

Hi!

My application for visitor visa was also denied due to following reasons:

- travel history
- current employment situation
- personal assets and financial status

Travel History - travelled once in 2011 to HK and Macau

Employment - I am now in my 2nd year in my current company, I have submitted approved leave request by my manager.

Financial status - I have submitted bank statements with Php200k+, a life insurance, 2015 Income Tax Return

Can anyone help me please? I'm planning to re-submit my application. What should I do to satisfy them?

Hi Nutshell29!

When did you submit your application? In my first try, i was denied also. Same reasons as yours.

Travel History- prepare a day by day itinerary and when you submit again your application, submit flight itinerary.

Current employment Situation - employment letter states your salary and all benefits that you receive plus approved leave absence.

Financial Status - did you deposit large amount in your bank before you submit your application? What's your life instance? Variable or traditional?

Prepare also a cover letter. Explain briefly here why visa officer will grant you a visa or reasons why you need to come back in the Philippines? Are you married? Kid?
Is your parent financially dependent on you?

I'm asking these para matulungan kita.

Yes, he has a chance of getting visa but he/she needs to show strong ties to his/her home country.

Travel History: significant because it can show that you have enough disposable income for holidays. Your employment in your home country is good and you are less likely to overstay in Canada. A pattern of leaving and returning to your country can also be good. Making sure your ties to your home country are ateonger than your ties to Canada is important.
