Hi everybody,

I have an urgent query, I am a Pakistani national, did my four year bachelors from UK and soon after graduation I started working as a financial analyst in a big 4; beside that I am 2 exams away in my ACCA, to date I have more than 4 years experience. unfortunately I lost my father last year; my younger brother is a Canadian PR and as my mom is not well these days so she is living with my brother in Canada, she has just applied for her PR. I want to do my MBA form Canada. my concern is my father's business is closed these days and my mother spends some time in Pakistan and sometime in Canada.so how should I prove my ties with Pakistan. I read CIC study manual; there is a clause about dual intention, should I mention CIC , I am interested in immigration also.

I appreciate any prompt reply.

In your circumstances, it will be difficult for you to prove or show ties with your home country. Specially when your brother is a PR or Canadian citizen. I wonder if you have checked if you qualify for skilled worker category? Alternately, there is no harm in applying, if you are lucky enough you never know! You do not have too many choices, so If I were you I will try my luck and apply for study permit; even if I fail to show ties with my country!

* There is as such no rule which stops you to apply on study permit, when your brother is already a PR or Citizen.
