Canadian PR not stamped in our daughter's Passport who is a minor

Hello all,

We received our passports stamped with our PR.

I have two questions:

1. The visa stamp states that the Category is IM-1 Immigrant. I would like to confirm that it is the correct category for Permanent Residency
2. Myself and my husband hold an Indian passport and our passports are stamped with the Canadian Visa. However, my daughter (who is 2.6 years old) holds an Australian Passport and her passport is not stamped with the Candian Visa. Is it normal for the minor's passport to not have a visa stamp for the PR.
3. What sort of documents do we have to submit during our landing? How does the Immigration officials ensure that our stamped visa is for Candian PR and hence provide the required authorization to initiate the process for our PR card?

Thanks

Thanks

Australian passport holders do not need visas to enter Canada. Depending on when you intend to land, you may have to sign online for an eTA for her.

maybe you should read the OPs post again as the minor is not a visitor but a potential PR which was the question about PR status for the minor.

I understood that their daughter would be a PR, thank you for your concern. The fact remains the same, a prospective PR will not get a visa stamped on an Australian passport as it is visa-exempt. The fact that she is a minor is irrelevant regarding not getting a visa stamped, it's all because she is holding an Australian passport. She will have the CoPR anyway.

Now, I could be mistaken about the eTA for the PR landing if the passport is visa-exempt, if the CoPR will be all that's needed. The eTA will not strictly enforced until fall, so I am not certain yet if IRCC will also require it for landing PRs later this year...that's why I chose my words carefully:

Again, an ETA is not required for anyone with a COPR from a visa exempt country.
