Canadian New Born travelling to India , Advise !!!!

Hello All ,
Not too sure if this is the right thread .need some advise on the new born baby travelling to India.
we are planning to go to India for about 7-8 months and wondering about my baby visa.
OCI processing time about 4-8 weeks and due to our intermittent plans unable to apply.

I heard about the Entry Visa(Not tourist Visa) which will allow for a such longer stay . did any one applied and stayed that long /
what are my other options ??

My baby went to india on entry visa. She was 3mnths old when she left. Kids under one year can stay as long as they want. Just to be safer go to sp office in india and let them know. When my baby went to sp office they said no need to register with them as she is infant. But if you are from ontario and you leave ontario for more than seven months you loose health benefits amd have to re apply again when you come back. That means you have to wait for 3 months to use ohip. Not sure about other provinces.
