i received a mail from a company in Canada offering me a job to work as a marketing manager in their company, after various consultations with the Canadian immigration I was asked to pay a sum of 180dollars for my immigration clearance. I want to know if this is legit or it is a scam.
I need an immediate answer, thanks.
Almost certainly a scam given very unlikely just to offered any job through email that sounds as though you did not solicit and you should not expect to pay a fee that should be down to the employer To be sure post the offer letter here with personal details removed.
Apart from being asked to pay a fee if they have asked for copies of documents, offered to pay for flights, accommodation etc.. then almost certainly fake.
You say consultations with Canada Immigration this would be very unusual to have one on one consultations given as you can imagine many thousands of immigration applications are processed every year and there simply are not many thousands of people working for immigration to carry out one to ones.
One on one consultation with an Immigration consultant/lawyer maybe but they would have no connection or influence at all with Canada Immigration. (IRCC)
