Hello moderator.

I am interested in working as a Pharmacist in Canada and would like to apply for Canadian immigration (permanent resident). As far as I know the job opportunity as a pharmacist in Canada is extremely positive.

I have completed my bachelor of pharmacy (4yr program) from Bangladesh. Here I am working as a registered pharmacist and I also have a relevant work experience. But I'm not sure do i qualify to apply for PR in Canada? Though I don't have a license to practice in Canada so can I write the required examinations after coming down to Canada once I get the PR (fortune favors). That's a lot of questions but It will be very helpful for me if you give me some feedback, I will really appreciate.

Thanks again.

Do you have at least one year of full time paid work experience?

Thanks a lot for your feedback.
Yes I have one year of full time paid work experience and also have required English language proficiency test score (IELTS).

You can apply through Express Entry.

Thanks for your kind information.
But I have one more question. Though I have work experience in Bangladesh but without license as a pharmacist in Canada I won't practice in there and may have to faced some exams to get it. So will it be problem to applying PR through Express Entry?

No once you have the experience in your country. You can do the exams after immigrating

I would recommend that you plan/save for being unable to work for at least 6 months (probably longer but you may be able to find other work) and for the tuition fee. Some areas in the country also have too many pharmacist. GTA and SW Ontario in particular. There is definitely a need in many rural areas.

The process is very expensive. you could start the exams in your country while your working
