I was born and raised in Canada, I just married a pakistani and I'm wondering where it's best for me to give birth to our child as I am in pakistan now with a year visa. Pakistan or Canada and the benefits or negative outcome. Will our baby be Canadian if I chose to deliver in Pakistan or will I have a problem or wait time to bring him or her to Canada with me? Also how do I start the process of bringing my husband to Canada with me since I'm not working anymore in Canada so have no income to sponsor him unless I went back now before I start showing pregnancy and get a job ASAP. How long do I have to be working to sponsor him and what income do I have to show? How long until he can come to Canada with me?

Sorry about all the questions, I have a lot I need to know about this.

Thank you in advance.

I believe the baby will have Canadian passport the only stigma would be birthplace PAK on Canadian passport.
I dont think income statement is necessary to sponsor spouse but I am sure the seniors in the forum can best confirm that.
Goodluck

Once your child is born you will need to apply for a Proof of Citizenship for your child first in order to be able to obtain a passport. Proof of Citizenship application and baby's passport application can be submitted to an embassy/consulate of Canada in Pakistan. Links below will show you how to do that.

Proof of Citizenship

consulate of Canada in Pakistan

Your Husband's process will be time consuming, right now Pakistan is showing 26 months processing time plus 2 months for the sponsorship approval... there is no income requirement for a spousal sponsorship. Also being a Canadian citizen you can stay with your husband thru the process as long as you provide a intent to relocate plan with your application this would include things like... letters from friends and family stating they know of your plans to relocate once your husband receives his visa, letter from friend or family member that may let you stay with them once you arrive in Canada while you get on your feet, copies of e-mails showing quotes for moving your belongings to Canada, e-mail quotes from realtor inquiring about rentals or purchase of a house, maybe some e-mails about furthering your education or employment opportunities anything you can think of that will prove you intend to go to Canada once your Husband has his visa. below are more links that should help you...

Country Specific- Information guides make sure to read and fill out any forms in this guide it also has form for medical

Hope this helps Good Luck!
