Is Baby born in India become a Canadian, if Father is naturalized Canadian (born in India) and Mother is Citizen of India. Thanks in Advance for your replies.

Thank you Seym for your reply.

Can you please give me the clarify for your reply in this post: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-i...ng-in-the-us-with-baby-born-in-the-us.664253/
I believe Seym is referring to Canadian citizens by descent, or a foreign-born Canadian that inherited citizenship from their native-born or naturalized citizen parent. In that case, the first generation rule applies, where only the foreign-born children of said parent would inherit citizenship, but their children (of the foreign-born children) would not.

Lets put it in simple words. In your case as you are naturalized citizen your children will be canadian even if they are born outside canada. But once your children grow up because they obtained citizenship by descent through u there children will only be canadian if they are born in canada. They will not be able to pass it on if their children are born outside, they will have to go for PR route for those children. (Ps. This is per current laws who knows what the laws will be by the time ur children grow up)

hope that helps

Is only first Baby born in India become a Canadian or even second/third born babies are also become a Canadians, if Father is naturalized Canadian (born in India) staying in India presently and Mother is Citizen of India. Thanks in Advance for your replies.

This rule is for all babies born by you... they will all be Canadian citizen by descent... so if you have more children... they will have Canadian citizenship... for your grandchildren... if and when it occurs... then they would NOT be Canadian citizen unless born in Canada
