Hi all,

I've been trying different CRS calculators to find out how many points I got and one thing I never saw is how many points I get for having a job in Canada already, instead, it always asks me if I have a job offer.

I've been working in Toronto for 1 year and 2 months on a job qualified as skilled work(NOC B).

Is any of you in the same situation? if so, were you able to find an answer?

Thanks

Ricardo, you can look at the link wrt points break-up...

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/eligibility/criteria-comprehensive-ranking-system/grid.html

You "can" be eligible for the following points additionally:
  • 50 points(valid job offer)
  • 35 points(CEC work exp 1 yr)
  • 13 or 25 points(Skills Transferability - Points for education + 1 year of Canadian work experience)
  • 13 or 25 points(Skills Transferability - Points for foreign work experience + 1 year of Canadian work experience)
The Skill Transferability points depends on your language score, Canadian and Foreign Work Experience.

Hi all,
I've been trying different CRS calculators to find out how many points I got and one thing I never saw is how many points I get for having a job in Canada already, instead, it always asks me if I have a job offer.

There are no points just for having a job in Canada. There ARE points for having one year of skilled work experience in Canada. Or two complete years, or 3...

There are also points for having a valid job offer that meets the definition of arranged employment. Again, merely having a job in Canada is not enough to meet this definition.

I've been working in Toronto for 1 year and 2 months on a job qualified as skilled work(NOC B).
Then you should be eligible for points based on one year of Canadian experience.

Is any of you in the same situation?
??? What exactly is the question?

Depending on the type of work permit you have and whether your employer wants to keep you around, you *MAY* be eligible to claim the job offer. Read more here -
