Canadian experience points received but not completed one year of work in Canada

Hi,

One of the person is working in the Canada from 2015 03 and he has already received points for Canada work experience, which are 40. This person has also received ITA in the yesterday's draw. How did he get points for Canada work experience if he has not completed one year of work in the Canada.

Can someone explain ?

Thats because, in EE, we mention our work experience dates in the month/year format without the day mentioned. So when the person enters his 12th month, he is awarded the required points. But there is a case in the forum where a person accepted the ITA on Dec4th and she/he completed her work experience on Dec6th. After submitting the application on Dec 28th, the application got rejected citing the 1 year not completed on the day of receiving the ITA. But there can be cases where it is accepted too. Depends on the case worker.
